Austin Copp (B.S. 2015, M.S. 2016) is a Manager of Process Development at Illumina, the market leader in DNA Sequencing. Austin leads a team of engineers that develop, launch and sustain global, high volume consumables manufacturing lines. As an engineer, and as a leader, he has sought to challenge the status quo and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
During his time at UCLA, his research interests included tissue engineering and diagnostic applications. Austin was also heavily involved on campus throughout his academic career, holding leadership positions for Biomedical Engineering Society and Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity.
In his personal life, he enjoys playing soccer, cooking and spending time with his growing family.
